Age Appropriate Skills

In all program levels, students learn skills that have a direct and immediate impact on their reading lives. Each program level focuses on different skills, depending on the developmental needs of students at that level. For example, 1st graders learn phonics skills, 3rd graders learn long-word-decoding skills and middle school and high school students learn to successfully read and study in more challenging reading material, such as taking notes in textbooks and expository nonfiction.
