Program for 4-year-olds & Entering Kindergartners

Students in this program learn beginning reading skills while developing a love of books. Students learn letter recognition skills, phonics, and sight words, and they begin to read simple words and sentences. Parents attend each class in order to learn how to best support their children.


PROGRAM FOR ENTERING 1ST GRADERS

In this program, students learn to read independently and parents learn how to support their children. Students learn phonics and sight words, build comprehension, and gain the skills and confidence needed for success in first grade.


PROGRAM FOR ENTERING 2ND GRADERS

In this program, students become confident independent readers. Students gain confidence and develop a love of reading by improving their phonics and word-attack skills, by building their comprehension, and by developing their reading fluency.


PROGRAM FOR ENTERING 3RD GRADERS

In this program, students become strong independent readers who love to read. Students develop the comprehension, fluency, and long-word decoding skills they need to read longer books with confidence and ease.


PROGRAM FOR ENTERING 4TH GRADERS

One of our main goals in this program is to enable students to experience absorption in imaginative literature. During the program, students build their long-word decoding skills, develop fluency, improve their comprehension, and develop a love of reading. They also learn skills for reading textbooks and other nonfiction.


PROGRAM FOR ENTERING 5TH GRADERS

Like our program for entering 4th graders, one of our main goals in this program is to enable students to experience absorption in imaginative literature. They also learn skills for reading textbooks and other nonfiction. During the program, students improve their comprehension, and develop a love of reading.


PROGRAM FOR ENTERING 6TH-8TH GRADERS

Students in this program make substantial gains in comprehension while doubling their reading speed. They also learn how to successfully read textbooks, take notes, and study for tests. As a result, students complete homework more quickly and easily, get better grades, and enjoy reading more.


PROGRAM FOR ENTERING 9TH-11TH GRADERS

This program teaches skills similar to those of the middle school program, but at a higher level. Students in this program double their reading speed, make substantial gains in comprehension, and learn study skills. They also learn how to successfully read textbooks, take notes, and study for tests, making it easier to complete homework and get better grades. As a result of their improved skill-set, students enjoy reading more.


PROGRAM FOR ENTERING 12TH GRADERS, COLLEGE STUDENTS AND ADULTS

In the program, students transform their reading skills and learn to enjoy reading more. Students double their reading speeds in difficult material and triple their reading speeds in easier material while improving their comprehension, concentration, and retention.
